  First you complete an online intake form to help gather information about your symptoms and medical history for a healthcare provider to review. We then have a licensed healthcare provider review the information you provided and evaluate your treatment options. If prescribed, the provider will follow-up with a personalized treatment plan, just for you. You will then be able to choose for the new prescription to be sent to any pharmacy of your choosing.

  As an added bonus, you're able to use the Optum Perks Discount Card to get your new prescription medication at the lowest possible price.

• Do I need an appointment?

  No. Our service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with no appointment needed.

• Is this a safe way to receive treatment?

  Telemedicine relies on patients giving full and truthful answers to the best of their knowledge. As long as this is the case, telemedicine is a safe way to receive treatment. Treat a telemedicine consultation just as you would if you were speaking to a doctor or nurse face to face. This ensures we can accurately assess your medical and personal history. This also helps us consider a safe and effective treatment that has the best possible chance of working for you.

  For the same reason, it's important to carefully follow all instructions when you upload photos of yourself and your ID.

• Where do I get my new prescription?

  If prescribed, you will be able to select and send your new prescription to the pharmacy of your choosing.

• How much does it cost?

  The online care intake costs $29 and only covers the cost of your visit with your provider. The cost of the medication isn't included in your visit. If prescribed, you can buy your medication from the pharmacy of your choice.

  Don't forget to use a Perks Discount Card to ensure you're getting the best price on your medication at the pharmacy.

• Can I use the Perks Discount Card or Coupon for my prescription?

  You will be able to use the Perks Discount Card or coupon for the majority of visitless prescriptions. Make sure to search your new prescription on our website if you have any questions.

• Can I use insurance to pay for my visit?

  No, but our consultation price is usually less than that of a standard copay!

• Is the cost of my medication included in my Rx request price?

  No. Similar to a doctor's office visit, the online Rx request price only covers the cost of your clinician review. If you're prescribed medication, there will likely be an additional charge at the pharmacy.
